Alexandra Bellefeuille
Born January 27, 1994
Ottawa, ON

Combining different forms of styles such as abstract expressionism, geometric abstraction, contemporary realism and biomorphic abstraction, Alexandra Bellefeuille is a self taught artist who’s work focuses on human connectivity, space and our relation to the universe. Her interdisciplinary arts background has helped blur the lines between artistic disciplines, promoting a mindful creative space where fine art, music, film and performance all play an integral role in sharing her interpretation of the world.

The use of payne’s grey is prevalent throughout her work as well as her preference of high contrast and monochrome techniques.

Alexandra draws inspiration from her spiritual existence to transport us to ethereal worlds.

“When I was a child, I lived with my grandmother who was an artist.
She created enormous oil canvases that were showcased in almost every room.

Most days, I would sit and imagine myself in the worlds she created.
It was as if the frame was a door and if I stared long enough,
I could walk through it.

Today, I paint to create new worlds.
Spaces of escape and places of imagination.”
